To enhance the effectiveness of industry-education integration, bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge of accounting majors and professional practice, and accurately grasp the employment standards of the accounting industry amid the context of digital transformation, on July 28, Shi Hua, Director of Academic Affairs Office of the School of Accounting, Lou Wei, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, together with counselors Xiong Shiqiu and Li Zhexin, led a group of student representatives from the School of Accounting to carry out enterprise visits and research activities. Team members raised questions about the impact of AI on accounting positions and skill development at university. Industry experts answered in detail with real project cases, guiding students to build macro analytical thinking of the industry.
In the afternoon, the research team proceeded to Shenzhen Branch of BDO Lixin Certified Public Accountants. Xing Xiangzong, Audit Partner, and relevant managers received the faculty and students. Interactive sessions were launched to fully engage the students. Afterwards, Niu Nana, Human Resources Manager, delivered a special corporate presentation, illustrating the school enrolment internship system, including autumn recruitment, spring supplementary recruitment and the Future Star, a special green internship channel for interns.

During the tour, the group visited various business offices and experienced the open and inclusive workplace. Representatives from BDO Lixin mentioned that Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) is one of the firm’s key university-enterprise partners nationwide. A large number of JUFE alumni work in Shenzhen and the Pearl River Delta region. High-quality graduates and abundant alumni resources underpin their long-term and stable cooperation in campus recruitment and internship placement. At the forum, members shared their internship experiences and asked questions actively. Firm managers used practical cases to encourage students to move beyond rigid working-paper thinking and focus on developing business logic and risk judgment capabilities.
The full-day visits to the two leading accounting institutions allowed the participants to experience the development features, job differences and talent training models of international and top local accounting firms. It helped them break fragmented and one-sided perceptions obtained online, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the real development and talent demands of the accounting industry. Moving forward, the School of Accounting will continue to deepen university-enterprise cooperation with ShineWing and BDO Lixin. It will push forward co-construction projects such as industry-education integration classes, and cultivate interdisciplinary accounting talents with solid professional foundations, digital competence and broad industry vision.(Written and Photographed by Shuai Yuhan, Yu Wenxi, Red Ledger Pioneer Team, School of Accounting)
