School of Accountancy

Accounting school of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics is a member unit of Accounting Society of China and Auditing Society of China, and it is also one of the earliest colleges which sets up majors of auditing and accounting computerization. Accounting School acquired the right to grant accounting master degree in 1985, and began to enroll accounting postgraduate at the same year. Accounting school is one of the earliest units having right to confer accounting master degree.After 20 years of efforts, postgraduate education of Accounting School has been expanding unceasingly. It has formed a multi-level and open system of postgraduate education, ranging from master to doctor, academic-oriented to applied-oriented. At present, there are over 900 enrolled postgraduates, dividing to four subjects: Master of Accounting, Master of Professional Accounting, Master of Auditing, and on-job Master of Professional Accounting.

Master of accounting

Master of accounting is one of the earliest major awarded a master’s degree in Chinese accounting. Centering on market demand of high-end accounting talents and future development trend of accounting disciplines, our school mainly sets up Accounting, Theory and Methods of Auditing, Theory and Methods of Management Accounting, and the Financial Management on the basis of our existing disciplines and scientific research strength. The four majors which have obvious advantages and prospect research fields are aimed at strengthening the postgraduates’ theoretical basis and improving their academic research capacity. At present, there are nearly 200 postgraduates of this subject at school. In order to further meet the national demand for high-end scientific research personnel, our master if accountancy training concept has transformed gradually from “quantity” to “quality”. What to do after being the “big” for our accounting school is to gradually explore a distinguishing way to be “strong”

Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc)

As the development of social economy, tremendous needs for senior applied talents are required to the market, which leads to the establishment of the policy of priority to the development of applied degree. Honored to be one of the 25 earliest MPAcc educationpilot universities, approved by the Academic Degrees of the State Council, our accounting school successfully recruitedMPAcc master for the first time in 2007. Surrounding this four research direction-Accounting Practice, Corporate Financial Management, Cost Management and Audit Practice-MPAcc keeps closely touch with colleges and companies, aiming to cultivate high level, high quality and applied accounting talents who systemically master theories and skills derived from the modern accounting, auditing, financial management and other related fields and have the strong capacity to solve practice problems and can easily adapt to the international competition.Recently, our school has nearly 400 full-time postgraduateswhich enjoys high employment rate and welcomed by employers.

Master of Auditing (Maud)

Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics is one of the 36 colleges and universities that are first approved by the State Council’s Academic Degrees Committee to recruit Master of Auditing (Maud). Our school divides Master of Auditing into three research areas: the government auditing, internal auditing and auditing of Certified Public Accounting. Since the first auditingpostgraduates enrolled in 2012, Maud with its high quality of teachers, innovative training model and the featured teaching approach, has received the praise from different sectors of society and gained increasing social recognition. At present, the enrollment of Maud has already passed in the second year. The Maud training in our school advances by steps, and the enrollment scale is gradually expanding.

Part-time Master of Professional Accounting

​As early as in 1996, the Accounting School of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics has received the qualification to recruit in-serve staff applying for master’s degree in accounting. After a dozen years of development, the visibility and influence of our school’s on-job Master of Professional Accounting are continuously improving with expanding admissions, and wins a high reputation throughout the country especially in provinces around Jiangxi.Meanwhile, our school insists on the mission of enlightened education and open education, and the school has cemented stable relationship of cooperation and communication with elite schools in various countries and regions, such as Soochow University in Taiwan, Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration in Austria, and so on.Experiencing more than 20 years of reform and exploration, our school has laid a good foundation for overall goal of being a first-class multidisciplinary teaching and research university in terms of postgraduate education.
